Help with setting up my tv on my MCE PC
Hello,
I am new to this whole tv on your pc idea and would like some help. I did just build a new pc, here are the specs that may matter in terms of a tv card: OS: MCE 2005 MOBO: MSI Neo4 Platinum VIDEO: EVGA 6800 GT AUDIO: Audigy 2z PSU: NEOPOWER 460W OPTICALS: NED DVD BURNER & LITE ON DVD-ROM RAM: 1 Gig of OCZ Copper HD: 250 GB SATA Seagate I am wanting a pretty good Card... I did my research and found that the Hauppauge 500 MCE, Hauppage 150 MCE, EVGA EVGA NVTV TV Tuner, and VisionTek XTASY Theater Pro 550 PVR are among the top... are there any others? Which would you say are the best? Here are my questions: 1) With any card can you record shows? 2) What about HDTV? 3) Remote Controls? 4) Anything else I need to make TV work on my pc besides a tv tuner card? What about to get tv from my pc on my regular tv? Thanks |

1) You'd have to have appropriate software - most should come with something to record and schedule
2) and 3) See this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815116310 Can recieve regular and high definition signals, and has a remote. 4) Nope. You mean your PC screen on your TV? Your video card should have a S-video out, you could run a s-video cable between the computer and TV, or the high-end TVs sometimes have an RBG input (for the VGA output), there you'd just run your regular monitor cable in between.
