Batch Renaming Photos (Irfanview/PS2)

Hi All,

I have both Irfanview and PS2 who do grand batch renaming to a point.

What I need is this:

I have around 900 pics with the filename 001234-Joe Bloggs
I need to leave just the 6 digit number and remove the rest on all the pics.

I can't find any way to do this in both programs.

Any suggestions??

Thanks a lot.

With Irfanview, have you tried putting ###### in the pattern box?
