Unable to install Microsoft Antispyware!
Hrm, on this new PC I have, I CAN'T install Microsoft Antispyware. After the shortcut hits my desktop and after it's even done registering I get this error and it all deletes itself:
"The wizard could not fully install Microsoft Antispyware, it was interrupted before it could be finished..." I googled this error, it seems one of my install files in Windows is corrupted or something. I would like to install this new program. The only thing I've tried to alleviate the situation is do a selective startup in MSCONFIG thinking maybe some wacky program was causing some sort of error. That however did nothing. Chime in with your expertise please.

I just tried installing iTunes as well, something is definitely damaged/corrupted with my Installer.
I got this error, I am trying to correct it... http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108340 |

In MSCONFIG Windows Installer is running. It's also running in manual mode when I type services in Start > Run.
I typed in the error on Microsoft.com and Google. When it get's to this step, this folder is entirely missing from my computer: C:\Program Files\InstallShield\Developer\Redist\Language Independent\i386 What am I looking at here? This is completely over my head - I looked at installshield.com for something to download but I have no idea what to do. I've also played around in the Command Prompt as requested by some of these directions... this is all too confusing. |

- I've tried removing and reregistering Windows Installer through the Start > Run Command
- The folder as I mentioned before where I am supposed to change stuff is non-existant (meaning a Program Files\InstallShield\ folder doesn't exist on my computer, however, in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ some InstallShield stuff is there) - My permissions should be fine Ughhh... |

I ended up just reinstalling Windows entirely and programs will actually install now. I still have no idea how that situation even came to be. =/
