Exclamation AVI and Movie Clip will not play

Hi all,

I have downloaded an AVI and Movie Clip file and neither will play in WMP as well as a Program called AVI player. I get the sound but no picture for some reason. Can anyone assist or give me a program that is guaranteed to work?

Thanks
Jason

You do not have a codec installed on your mashine to display a video.
Go to divx.com and download a free player which comes with codecs you need. Reboot your mashine and you're done!

You might have the codecs enabled for download, but that doesn't mean WMP can find the right one(s). Download gspot. It will tell you how that AVI is rendered and what codecs are required for playback.

Hm, try this: http://www.videolan.org/

Download it, and try to run the .avi again.

No need for codecs on VideoLAN, supports almost everything already.

It's very lightweight (7.9mb), small, and easy to use. Should play the file.
