Is is it possible?
I have norton ghost on my hard drive, but don't have the disk. They say I need the disk ......
(To run the recovery environment, you must be able to boot your computer from the Norton Ghost CD or the Symantec Recovery Disk CD (available with Norton SystemWorks Premier). Can I make that program a bootable disk?? If so how? thanks |

Looks to me like there is no way around this. If Ghost was preloaded on the computer and you were not given the CD, contact the system builder. If you "lost" the CD, you are out of luck. If you bought the downloadable version of Ghost from Symantec, it should be an .iso that can be opened and burned to your own CD. If you obtained Ghost by some other means, we can't offer any suggestions other than obtain a legal CD.
You don't necessarily need the CD to restore an image - it can be restored from within the program - but that doesn't help you with an emergency recovery unless you reinstall an OS and Ghost on the hard drive first. |
