Installing Office XP SBE on my new PC
I'll be getting a new pc shortly and want to know if it's possible to use my current copy Office XP SBE. Is that a nono

Think that's a no-no. The Student and Teacher editions allow for multiple installations but I don't think the Business Editions do unless you have mulitple licenses.

According to the EULA (link above for SBE edition) you may install the software on two PC's at the same time IF the second install is on a portable (read laptop) device. Assuming that you have bought the software as a stand alone product and it is not tied into an OEM restore disk - you could also remove the software from the first PC and install it on the second PC if the desk top - laptop grant of license does not apply.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking about removing it from the old and installing it on the new. That sounds good enough.

As long as you have the original installation disks, you can uninstall from the old and install on the new. As long as it hasn't been activated in the past 120 days, it should even activate online without having to call Ma M$ and asking mother may I.
