Mysterious Tray Icon
Hello there.
This may sound like a stupid question but just recently i noticed that a space had appeared in the taskbar. I went to customize notifications and seen that there was a one there with the name This also may not be of any relevance but just recently the computer seems to take quite a bit longer from when i log in to when its fully loaded. This may be nothing but i thought i better check anyways. I have attached a screenshot to help. Thanks, Ian |

Sounds like some kind of spyware if it is slowing down your bootup. Do a scan with Spybot, Adaware, Housecall, HijackThis and any other anti-spyware programs you have. See what it comes up with.

Ive just ran a scan with both Spybot & Adaware, sorted out the detected problems, restarted and the initial problem is still there.

Are you talking about the folder icon? What happens if you double click on it?
Have you tried to locate where the folder is kept on the hard drive? Cricket

Ive now sorted the problem. It seems Quicktime was the culprit.
