Money tracking programs.

Greetings :

I am wondering about a program that can track my money. I need to be able to send the account information around; something I can't do with Microsoft Money. Is Quicken any good? This program is going to be used basically just to track money, nothing special. Just need to be able to share the account data by email if possible.

Regards,

James

Can't you just send your .mny file to someone by e-mail?

Well; honestly, I was told that I couldn't use Quicken or Money by a friend of mine. And now I have been told something entirely different...so once I figure out how to use Quicken - I will let everyone know. I just thought there might be a program that I didn't know about as I have never actually used such a thing before in my life.. *sigh* Life is complicated.

I've never looked at an .mny file, but odds are, the person that you send the file to will need MS Money in order to view the data. I'm sure GLC will correct me if I'm wrong.

You are totally correct. A .mny file is the Money data file. Quicken uses 4 separate files for the same thing - the exact extensions escape me at the moment but they all begin with .Q.
