have a question regarding getting into system.just inherited a pc that wont allow me in without a password. is there another way around this? appreciate any help here.

While i'd love to know the answer too, this is the wrong forum for it.

Well is it fully your computer? If not then that might be somewhat illegal. I am assuming it is your since you said you inherited it..
You can always put it in another computer and re format the drive and put it back in the other and do a fresh OS install, but if you need data off it I wouldn't know how to help you.

You can remove the CMOS battery and that should allow you to acess the computer. Be sure to leave the battery out for a few minutes, before putting it back in. I believe this will do the trick for you.
