burning ISO files
So I recently ripped a full DVD movie onto my computer as an ISO file. What programs do I need to use to burn it onto a DVD so that I can watch it on my family DVD player?
Do I extract all of the files on the DVD and burn them all onto a DVD? Or do I burn the ISO file to the DVD? Something else? Matthew |

use ISOBuster to open the files then put them on a CD-DVD, youll have to extract the files
OR use DVD decrypter

If you have a program like Nero or Roxio, they can burn ISO files and the disk will play (assuming the file's OK). Or, as Dark Nova mentions, ISOBuster to extract files from the ISO and burn. Can't remember if ISOBuster can burn from within the program; if not, you'll still need something like Nero or Roxio.

The easiest way is to use DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn to burn the Image. How did you rip it ? If you didn't use DVD Decrypter for that, the MDS file may be missing. In that case, if you want to burn it onto a DL, you need to create a new MDS file. I think DVD Decrypter / ImgBurn can do that but I'm not sure.
If you wanna burn your DVD onto a single layer blank, then load the image into DVD Shrink and let it output a new image, which you can then burn with Decrypter / ImgBurn. RJ

Okay thanks you guys.
I just checked out ImgBurn and it seems like a relatively new software! Released October 4, 2005! |

Yes. . .it "seems". Actually, the program as it is, is new. The burning engine is the proven reliable one of DVD Decrypter. That why I mentioned both at the same time, coz the burn engine is virtually the same, and it's an excellent one.
It's actually the best one for burning a DVD image, and it's the only program with which you can burn a DL with the layer break where you want it to be. RJ |
