Max filename length using Nero to burn CD?
Hi, I am wondering if there is a maximum filename length? I am using Nero 5 that came with my CD burner. It has ISO9660, Joliet etc to choose from, most of which are pretty meaningless to me.
I have tried various combinations and it keeps cutting the filenames to 8 characters. I have tried 32 characters but it doesn't work. My filenames are much longer though, over 50 characters. Can I not just burn with the same filenames as on my hard disk??? It doesn't make sense that in this day and age such a limitation would exist? I will keep trying different combinations of options etc if you tell me that yes, it IS possible to keep the same filenames. Thanx in advance

Not only are there filename length limitations, there is also the path length. Joliet should let you go to at least 64. |
