Outlook keeps resending

Hi All. I searched for solutions to this problem on the forum, but could not find any exact matches.
My bosses outlook keeps resending emails. As I type up and email and go to send the email stays in the outbox and is actually sent several times.
It seems like this is mainly happening with mails with large attachments.

I have researched this and other forums alike for a solution, but yet to find a clear answer.
I have seen references to such things as the .pst file reaching a 2gb limit among other things as possible causes to a problem with similar symptoms as mine.

(win xp + outlook 2003)

Any help on the issue would be appraciated.
Thanks to all

Besides removing the files from the outbox, you need to ask your ISP what their max file size is.

hi EZyStvy,
thanks for the comment. I found the answer on another board. The trick was to change the timeout setting of outlook, the default was I think 1, I moved it (its a slider) to 4 minutes and the issue was resolved. So I guess it was the connection to the server and it was getting disrupted or something for some reason. Anyway worked beautifully.
