Diskeeper
A friend of mine has been using Diskeeper software on his p.c. to automatically defrag his drive drive. It is much faster than the Windows xp defrag but it does
this every day I think. Is a daily defrag a bad thing? I have heard that it was but am not sure and would like a qualified opinion before I get it. Thanks

A daily defrag isn't going to hurt anything. But it's probably overkill.

I use Diskeeper in the set it and forget it mode. It defrags when it wants to.

G'day
Diskeeper is the same program as Windows defrag =CRAP. I've been using O&O Defrag for a long time. It really defrags and tidies files. john
