Hi all,
I'm having trouble setting my default music player. I have tweaked windows XP Pro so it won't load my Sound Baster PCI(WDM) when playing a CD, but it still wants to open it. I want to be able to use Winamp for opening CDs, which I have set as the default player. My CD/DVD RW drive is a Pioneer. Can anyone help me ? Thanks Daisie |

Start>My Computer.
Right click on your CD/DVD RW drive and clik on Properties in the menu. When the properties window comes up click on Auto Play. Make sure music cd is in the drop down , click on 'select an action to perform and then, in the window, click on the player you want to use. Now look down, make sure the 'Prompt me each time to chose an action' is not checked. Click Apply and click Okay.

Thanks pam123 for the quick. I had tried that and it didn't work, but I finally found it in the Creative Player, by removing the Disc Detector option. Wasn't sure what that meant, now I do... hahaha.
Thank you Daisie |
