outlook 2003 - undeliverable
Hi all
here is a tricky on ethat has been bothering me. sending emails in outlook 2003, I get an immediate reply as soon as I click send. The reply is from system administrator, and the msg goes like this: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: FW: RE: MBA MAP. Sent: 11/28/2005 3:01 PM The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 'Somchai Chotiwannaporn' on 11/28/2005 3:01 PM 452 Too many recipients received this hour Now I was researching this problem for hours last night, and on many fiorums suggestions were made that there are setting in place, placed by the host, that limit the number of emails going out etc.. most of these hints were on forums discussing mass emails or email lists, so they might have genuienly had reasons for having such a msg.Inthis question we are talking about maximum 50 emails within an hour (outbound) and I came across some info somewhere saying that the limits are set at around 1000 emails per hour (outbound) before any such msgs should appear. So I am quite sure that this has nothing to do with that since the problem is appearing almost randomly, on 1 minute off the next. I am quite sure this is an issue within outlook, but as esperate as I am, I am ready to try almost anything. Sure hope someone has encountered this problem (I dont wish that on anyone but how else would anyone know the solution!) and managed to fix it. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance sami |

If you wait a few hours, does the mail go out?

hi, the mails that are treturned undeliverable, as far as I have noticed stay that way, I am pretty sure of it. I think this is some small clitch since if I were to send the same email 15 times in a row in 2 minute interwalls propably half would get returned immediately as undeliverable, in sequences like 3 undeliverable 1-2 ok, then 1 undeliverable, 2-3-4 ok, and so on, sometimes playing with the auto fill of the address seems to make a difference, meaning sometimes I type the address by hand, sometimes I let outlook fill it, but out of propably at least 100 times that I have tested different variations and solutions the only thing that remains constant is that the problem keeps appearing constantly (irregularly) affects at worst times 70% of the mails, some times "lays low" for hours, very common is a steady 15-30% failure rate with occasional periods of 100% success.
It almost seems (and this is crazy) that outlook gets irritated and notices when I am doing testing and the failure rate nears 80-100% during those times. Now unless my laptop is posessed I know that isnt possible, but I am at the twilights of my coherence and have since long started taking each "undeliverable" msg personally. Please help. |
