Problem installing software?
I am trying to install Cyberlink Power DVD 5.5 on my new Dell XPS computer With Windows Media Center Addition.
Half way through the installation it stops every time and I get this error message. The instruction at “0x7c911c48 referenced memory at “0xfffffff8” the memory could not be read. Everything else installed fine, and the computer is running great; anyone know how I can get around this, I tried installing version 4, it will install but not run. Any help greatly appreciated. What happens if you uninstall all the software players and just try running the DVD from within windows with the Media Center Menu?
I think DVD playback, as well as burning, is standard in Media Center PCs.

You are right, I'm new to this version of Windows but I just figured that out. the CD for Power DVD came with the computer so I figured that I needed to install it to play DVDs.
Thanks for the info. Mike |
