Try this : * Open the message in Outlook Express.
* Select File | Save attachments... from the menu. * Select which attachments you want to save. * Specify the folder that the saved attachments should go to (the desktop in your case). * Click Save.

No Pam,
that is ok, but I want to set the default to desktop. I do not want to brouse to my desktop everytime I save and attachment from my e-mails. I had been using oe 5.5 and this is how it was set up, I don't know how I did it since I had done it years ago, then I updated my windows, big mistake , I think and the update installed outlook express 6 and my default was changed, and now I can't reset it. Thank-You, if you have any ideas, please let me know..... Ray |

In that case you've probably set up the send mail attachments to the My Documents in message rules.
Have you checked your settings there? It's in the drop down menu in Tools. |

Nope, nothing there about sending attachments, only setting message rules for incoming e-mails.
