I need a speedometer

Is there any software that would give you a on going bandwidth reading? Maybe something in the task bar?

My ISP is Direcway satellite and it seems to vary a lot. When it does I start making changes and lose a lot of time doing that when it is really a very low bandwidth.

I have the cute little blue flashing lights that don't tell you much. Didn't we used to call this type of thing in our cars "idot lights".

All of the on line check points vary so much it is unreal.

Thanks
