Index.dat reader

Does anyone know of a program that will convert the index.dat file into a text file. I remember someone in a class telling me about it, I wrote it down but lost it.

If I remember correctly he told me it could be downloaded for free somewhere also.

I Googled it and found this:

http://www.stevengould.org/software/indexdatspy/

I've never used it, so try it at your own risk...

I went to microsoft.com and tried to search for anything with "index.dat"; "index.dat"+"text"+convert; and nothing useful came up.

Tried the link too but to no avail.
