Word count tool

Hello,

I'm doing an analyses of a couple of hundred e-mails for a research project. In this analyses I also need to count the words within the e-mails. I have to do this manually.

I was wondering if there's a tool available that makes it possible to count the words when text is selected with the mouse? Or something similar?

Copy/pasting from the mailclient (Pegasus) to Word and then use the word count, is off course an option. But I'm looking for an even faster way.
