ebay - software back ups - copies???

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the ebay auctions for cheap software - the ones which are obviously copies but they get round it by saying they are only to be used as back-ups to the real thing?

Im after music production software and there is no way i can afford £500 for cubase! Thing is i know they have started using copy protection usb keys on a lot of new music sofware so i was wondering whether thats still going to be a problem even with a copied disc.

Anyone tried their luck with them?

Before I lock this, you've violated forum rules, a few words of advice.
Google is your friend and there are software packages that will do the job for nothing, you don't have to buy dubious copies that can bring the BSA down on you.
So get busy with the research and spare yourself grief.
