Exclamation Msn messenger

Hi. Im recently having problems connecting to my msn messenger. I have checked my sygate and windows firewall for the allowance of it and it all seems ok. I also deinstalled my sygate firewall, and also the msn just for the sake of trying and I always get the same message.

The message I get is:

"Sorry, we were unable to sing you into the MSN Messenger at this time."

And it also has the error code, which is: 80048820

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I depend very much on this program because it is the way of communicating in real time with my research teammates.

I don't know how you have your security things set-up, but something is blocking it from working, disable the firewall and sygate thing and see if it will work, I have never had any problems with it so far.
