can i remove these programs?

i have these things in my uninstall lsit called java runtime environment update 2, 3, 5 and 6

can i remove 2 3 and 5?

also have 2 called java runtime environment SE 1.42_05 and _06, can i remove 05?

this java thing is ridiculous

and i have microsoft .NET framework, 2 of them, can i remove both of them, cuz i dont know what they are.

If you don't know what something is google it and find out.
Updates are numerical and the fact that you have 06 doesn't mean you don't need 05. Unless you intend to scrub all your java installs and start over from scratch ( and you're prepared for all the possible problems that could give you.).
.NET is necessary for driver installs these days.
What's your video card?

Okay you have the Catalyst Control Center for that card?
.NET is necessary for the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) to run.
You say you have two .NETs?
What are the numbers after each, 1.1 or 2.0?
