Nero problem
New build: AMD Sempron 2500+, MSI main board, WD 120 GB hard drive, 512 RAM. Running XP Home, SP 2, completely updated.
Nero burning ROM program keeps saying it's executable file is corrupt. Un-installed Nero from add/remove programs. Tried to re-install but new version says: "An older version of Nero has been found on your computer, click here to remove". Did so...Then I get a window that says: "The installation was interrupted before Nero could be installed, please run setup again." Try to run setup again, same thing. I am now stuck in this continuous loop, never getting past "please run set up again". I have deleted any files I could find that say Ahead or Nero, right down to deleting the keys from the run menu and program files folder, still no help. Can anyone tell me how to remove Nero ENTIRELY so I do not get this prompt about removing an older version? Thanks! -Kev

Maybe try installing the old Nero into the original spot. Then let the new Nero take care of it with its own uninstaller when you begin to load that newer version.

That was the first thing I did.
Can't figure out why there is anything Nero left detected here... |

Have you tried a system restore?

Reporting back...
After exhausting all other alternatives, I changed the AMD processor. It appears to have been defective. First time I've found a defective AMD right out of the box. -K |
