Windows acting really retarded, need major help again
today i opened my computer, and it started acting really messed up.
the lower toolbar that says start and time,etc just dissapears, and then appears again, along with all the buttons on my desctop, basically all i see is my wallpaper, and when everything comes back all the windows i had open are closed, exept my internet. what i did yestarday: my cs:source downloaded an update and i played on the new map, closed the pc, went to sleep. monitor makes a scary noise when turned off. i am really worried, pleaze help. dont want to end up refformating for the 56 millionth time. |

Can you get into Safe Mode? If you can, try scanning for viruses, spyware, trojans and hijackers with your security software.

Might give this a shot:
Control Panel->System icon->Advance tab->Startup & Recovery Settings button. UNcheck/disable the "auto reboot" option. Instead of rebooting you'll probably get a BSOD which can be searched on for a solution. |

hmm.
yestarday i turned it on. and it didnt do anything retarded. so i started playing cs:source with a friend, played it for an hour or 2, then i surfed the internet and the thing happaned only once. what i did before that, i just made the monitor look more upwards, because it was looking down too much. its a liquid crystal 19 inch. my friend pressed the off/on button in the back of the pc case, and set it to off. then i set it to on, and turned on the pc. might of done something good maybe? and when i turned of the pc yestarday the monitor didnt make a scary sound, so thats a sign that everything is more or less allright. |
