16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem problem

Hi all, ive just installed the latest ms encarta premium 2006 dvd and i keep getting the following message, any help greatly appreciated. Any way of making the local folder non write protected, or a way to make this work, its driving me insane.

F:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\Encarta Premium DVD 2006.lnk
F:\DOCUME~1\BRYAND~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\. A temporary file needed for intialization could not be created or could not be written to. Make sure that the directory path exists, and disk space is available. Choose "close" to terminate the application and piss me off!

Any help guys and girls, greatly apprectiated

Thanks
Bryan

Uninstall it, reboot, then delete all your temp files - either manually or by using something like Crap Cleaner. Then reboot and install it again.

Paste this into Start | Run | Click OK and see if a folder opens.

%homepath%\Local Settings\Temp

If not, your path is messed up. You can fix that in CP, system, advanced, environment variables.
