Partion magic 8
Partion magic will not allow me to create or resize partions
I downloaded a trial version but when i have done creating a new partion for my new linux instilation and i have apply the changes it does nothing and my hard drive remains the same I dont understand why it is not doing anything? Any help appreciated |

I'd suspect the "trial" version will only give you the "feel" of PM8 without finalizing the operations. Only a guess but how else would they sell the full version? No one would need it. Check the fine print on the trial version and you may find a listing of the limitations.

Maybe your right,
Although i didnt see anything about limitations when i looked. Do you know of any good freeware Partion makers? Ive heard theres a few free ones about but i cant seem to find any Thanks |

I don't know of any free ones that I would trust. Partition Magic is the only thing I would use, even though it is not free.

Most Linux distros have a partitioning utility, read the documentation for the one you are using.

Although i dont think that Ark Linux does have a partitioning utility. |

Unfortuantely, I don't know of any free partitioning programs that will work with NTFS partitions. There was someone putting up the PM startup disks on the web, claiming them to be a freeware partitioning program. I doubt if they worked.
