Burning a large DVD

I'm having problems burning a DVD movie that is larger than 2GB. When I select the files I want to burn in Nero, it starts analyzing it like any other file, but when it finishes, Nero just closes itself.

What exact version of Nero, and exactly what are you trying to burn and how? There are issues when you hit 2gb. Data DVD's over 2gb must be burned UDF, not ISO.

The Nero disc I got came with a bunch of Nero programs, but the one I use to make the DVDs are NeroVision Express 3.

And how would I make it UDF?

If you are using NeroVision, you don't make it UDF.

Get the latest updates. You should probably get package 1, 2, and 3. This will update a Nero 6 OEM Suite.

Mhm. Got it. It's working. And the burning turned out fine.

I've been having another problem that's mostly just a minor annoyance. I've been using WinAVI to convert my AVIs to DVD format. I'm mostly burning fan-subbed animes that play fine on the computer monitor, but has subtitles cut off on TVs because of the overscan. So I use WinAVI to reduce the image size by 8-10%. But whenever I do this, every now and then a second or two of video gets screwed up (It's all...pixelized for lack of a better description. And usually happens only once in each episode.). Is there a different program that will allow me to crop the videos without any such problems?
