outlook 2003 sound question

i always have outlook 2003 minimized and in the system tray. and recently when i get mail, the computer will say "you have x mail" x being how much mail i have. i can't find anywerhe that lets me disable it. so anybody know how

Open Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Sounds.
Kill the mail alert, or alter any other sound scheme, once you're there.
Just scroll down the options in the window till you find it.

And then there's Tools->Options->Preferences->Email Options->Advanced Email Options->"Play a Sound"

i didn't install the sounds program and i tried disabling from there but it still doesn't work
