PowerPoint Anonmaly: Always Opens Old Presentation

I have a PowerPoint 2003 anonmaly: a presentation I created about a year ago seems to be embedded in the memory of PowerPoint as some sort of default template.

Whenever I open PowerPoint, this presentation will open. It will open as "Presentation 1." If I select "New Blank Presenation," this presentation is still present. Now I have it as "Presentation 1" and "Presenation 2."

To create a new presentation, all that is necessary is that I delete all the slides. PowerPoint will then work as it should, such as I can call up an exisiting PowerPoint file and it will open correctly.

I have renamed, moved, and deleted that original presentation from my hard drive. I have used the Repair feature of MS Office.

Are there any suggestions?

As I said, it's only an anonmaly. In the absolute scheme of things, it only takes a few seconds to wipe the slides from the screen and the program otherwise works. So as problems go, this is minor. But I would like to open to a fresh screen.

I solved my own problem. Apparently somewhere along the line, it was saved as the default blank template. Under templates, I deleted it.
