I recently used a programme to clean-up my Sony VAIO pc and it would
appear that I have inadvertently deleted some important file(s)? When I now load up my system I get a message saying 'lsass.exe - system error' and I cannot presently get to my desktop to do a restore etc.. If I close this displayed message the system tends to reboot and we go full circle back to this message again. On one occasion the following message was displayed: 'An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in or write out or flush one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry' Furthermore I have also seen '1QYCB41X44 is not available' displayed. I would be most grateful if someone could offer some assistance to get me up and running again - Thanks.

Try booting into safe mode and select Last Known Good Configuration.

Welcome to PCMech. What OS are you currently using, and what was the name of the program that you used to do the clean up?
