Oracle Express And Visual Basic Express

What are the limitations of these programs compared to the comercial versions?

I can't speak for Oracle, but VB Express has IDE limitations which will not allow you to dynamically connect and configure an SQL Server (it will let you connect to SQL Express though). VBE also only has project templates to create standalone EXE's, no DLL or service project templates.

Bottom line is unless you are a professional developer, you probably would not even notice these functions are not in the Express editions.
