Open Source InDesign alternative?
I work as the Online Editor for my university's campus newspaper. At the newspaper office, we use Adobe InDesign for laying out the paper to send to press. To access this information and post it online, I need to read these files. I don't have $700 to pick up a copy of it, so I was wondering if anyone new of an open source program that can read InDesign's .tif files (they're not the usual image files) Really, all I need is a good viewer; if I can select the text and copy it, then I'm good. Anyone know of anything?

I am aware that .tif is most commonly an image file. However, InDesign also saves files with the extention ".tif", though the files are not "Tagged Image File Format" files.

I seriously doubt if you will find anything. Older version of InDesign often won't open some of the new files.
