Multiple File Name Editing
Quick question guys
I have around 100 files eaching having a very long file name. the only difference between each file is the final number of eac part. Is there any piece of software available that I might be able to edit the files names in one go rather than 100 or so seperate times. Cheers

XP has a very crude 'batch renamer'. If you highlight all the files you want to rename, then right click the first and give it a new name, then the rest of the files will take the same name, plus an incremental number in brackets. I use it for my digital photos.
Don't know if you need something more sophisticated than that, though. FK

Few dozen to chose from:
File Renaming Tools http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/sy...ilerename.html I'd imagine one of them should be able to help.
