Closing a program with the push of a button?

I have a little pule to figure out. I have this program. I want to be able to close it immediately with a push of a button (say numpad 8 or whatever I assign it). Is this doable? I would prefer a windows script or something, but if not, then I'll take a program too.

Thank You.

My Microsoft Multimedia keyboard actually has a "Close" button. It can be set to close the active window or exit the program.

All of the F-keys are double function. Undo, redo, new, open, reply, forward, send, spell, save, and print are the other functions. They can all be set to do just about anything. Since I never use the reply button, I set it to open Word. Works like a charm.

Or you can use a keyboard like my MS Multimedia. F6 is labeled "Close".
