I have a software on my old computer, I lost the CD. How do copy it to put it on my new computer?

Depends on how "old" old is... If it's real old, you may be in luck, but thinking it's not, meaning a Windows program, then you are SOL. Windows programs install themselves in the registry and other places that are next to impossible to dulicate. Some programs say they can "move" programs, but the very few I've tried haven't worked at all.

Some older programs, and I still have a few on my computer, are located just within their directory, and subdirectories. You can try simply copying all files to the new location to see if it works. Some also require "shared" files, such as DLLs. If the moved programs needs one, it should give you an error message saying it can't find such-n-such file.
