Simply accounting

Hello

We are using simply Accounting Pro 2006 (Canada) , my business patrner did a back-up and continued to do some work, he then tried to do a restore , but the date it gave him was two weeks earlier than the date he backed up his files. All his info is gone, Ive looked through files and there is a large .dbs file ,could this hold the information?

Thanks

I don't have much to go on and I'm not familiar with Accounting Pro.
Just the fact that it's a .dbs file doesn't mean much unless it's a file that the accounting program created. By way of example a .dbs file is also created by Microsoft Word.
Your only choice is to export it to the desktop and see what turns up when you open it.
I'm hazy about what your partner did.
Back ups aren't what you do to save file changes so it sounds like he left out a step or two.
