HP imaging software
New build for a customer...
MSI KMVM m-board, AMD Sempron 2600+, WD 120 GB HD. Running XP Home. All correct drivers loaded for m-board. System performs to optimum until I load software for HP 3970 scanner. Upload to web icon on desktop freezes computer every time it is clicked on, even right click to delete icon from desktop. Unload HP software, everything works perfect. Went to Hp for upgrade to version 2.2 from 2.1. Same result. Is there alternative software to run this scanner? Never seen this before. Tried all obvious fixes, un-installing and re-installing scanner and software. I seem to remember seeing problems like this with HP digital imaging software before but could not find relevant info via search. Anyone got help for this mess!!??? Thanks, -Kev

On a return to HP.com I found multiple patches for similar problems. Hoping that one of these may provide the fix. Here's a link in the event that others may have these issues
