Windows XP OEM
I have windows me and am thinking of up grading to XP OEM.
My question is can I put it on my old computer and then move it to a new computer that I plan to build or does Microsoft frown on this idea. Thanks for the help Lost |

You can only use the XP disk on one machine legally. It will not activate on the second.

That's one PC at a time, so if you erase xp off that old PC when you build new, then you are good to go, and if it won't activate on your new PC just call the 800 number provided and explain the situation to them and you'll get an activation code and be good to go.
