how do i get the calendar to show the days (names) in outlook 2003?
right now it shows "22-Apr" (etc.) and i want to see "Saturday" or even better "Saturday 22-Apr".

You mean like this : http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...CT011653371033

Check your Office templates first.
You may not need to download one.

No you're just a victim of Office.
After completing the course you will be able to:

* Easily show days, weeks, or months in your calendar.

The first tutorial, a general once, over is here : http://office.microsoft.com/training...RC011719291033

If you're clear on that then you get to tackle all the "features" : http://office.microsoft.com/training...RC011550431033

After you've been put through the wringer for something that should have been intuitively simple you'll understand why, in some places, Microsoft Office is a curse.

thanks pam.

i have no patience for that tutorial.
i am using every bit of patience and concentration i have in order to master FFT in Matlab.

I guess i'll just get used to not seeing the days in my calendar for now.

Send a message via Yahoo to pillainp
Try and check the date format that your computer uses (Control Panel>Relgional & Language Options). Click the Customize button and set the long date format to dddd, MMMM, dd, yyyy on the Date tab.

I can find no other direct means in Outlook itself.
