Outlook Express problem

Hi All, in my inbox every day I have about 10 or more returned emails marked

returned mail : user unknown or
mail delivery system : returned mail
mail delivery system : undelivered mail returned to sender
etc etc etc .

My question is this, has someone hijacked my email address to send out junk mail and its being returned to me or is this another type of scam for me to fall foul of if I follow the links in these emails.
either way its annoying to go into my mail box and have all these items to delete before I can look at my real mail.

I'm running win xp pro
2.8cpu
80 Gb hd
704mg ram
oulook express as my email account.

any help appreciated

You're clicking on links in suspect e-mail?
Are you crazy?
As to what they are, there's a bounce trick used by spammers.
Usually you should see a "Postmaster@..." in there.
Go and complain.

There are no "postmaster" contacts on these emails. Any other ideas

Okay, it's being bounced (you'd see postmaster@ if something other then a private, zombied, server(s) were handling it) .
Alert your ISP they 'may' be able to trace it.
Send them a copy of the stuff, the links should help them there, and then move the spam e-mail to a seperate folder.
I don't know what action your ISP will take, or if they'll take any action at all, but keep it for a few weeks before you delete it.

If you forward it to anyone for inspection, you have to also send them the full headers. Just the message will not be helpful.
