Windows ME/98 Progrmas on XP...can it work?

Hi-

I have a kinda random software question. I have lots of programs and games for 98/ME/NT that i would like to be able to use on XP. I know there are emulators for gaming systems, is there something similar for an OS? I have tried that "compatibility mode" option in properties from XP, but that usually doesnt do anything.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

With my kids PC which I just recently upgraded to XP, we just use the try it and see method, and most games work OK, but your right a few just will not.

Most regular software works. On my own box, I've yet to find a program (other than games) that hasn't worked, and that includes programs I wrote for 386 machines. If you have a specific one that doesn't work right, post it and maybe someone has a workaround for you...
