Looking For: Program that will generate a list of albums
I've recently started on a new project. I have a cd player that holds 300 cd's that i haven't really been using because i've downloaded a lot of my cd's and don't have them burnt to put in there. I'm tired of having the player go to waste so i bought a 100 spindle of blank Cd-R's and i'm ready to start burning. I'm wondering if any of you know of a program what will an editable list of albums on file. I can look at all the album names in winamp or itunes but i am looking for a way to be able to delete the cd's already in the player and remove the other names as i burn them. I might have to go through and edit the album folder's names as a way to keep track but they're all subfolders for the artists and it would be a pain. I'm just hoping against hope that there is some program out there that will compile a list.

Would using a media player work? Drop the album into the playlist, hit burn, and delete from the library when you're done.

. That must be one sweet CD player.I agree with Force on this one. To me, using your media player and manuallying openning each album and individually burning each CD seems easiest to me. This way, as long as the tracks all have their appropriate tags (album, artist, song name), you should get what you want.

Yeah thats a good idea. I hadn't thought of that because i've had some bad luck burning with media players before. I used to get lots of coasters. I prefer to burn with nero because with quality blanks it never messes up but i'm willing to try that to get me through faster. It is a cool CD player. Its a sony but the coolest thing about it is it has a dot matrix display that will show the album and song names if you write the CD text or you can hook up a keyboard and manually type the name in. Time to get started.
EDIT What i'm doing is using windows media player to keep track of which albums i need to burn by deleting the ones that have already been done. Then I'm burning with Nero because windows media player is not burning cd text and its a lot more convenient if i don't have to type names in. Second EDIT Switched over to winamp instead of windows media player because for some reason windows media player wouldn't detect all my music. This is why i hate windows media player.
