The x86 download is for any Intel or AMD processor out there that runs anything up to Windows XP Home/Pro, but not XP-64. The x64 download is for any 64-bit processor that is running the 64-bit version of Windows XP - you would know if you are. The IA64 version is for the IBM PowerPC processors found in Apple's desktop and laptop systems running any 64-bit variant of Mac OS (mostly OS X). In any case, unless you have XP x64, you would want to download the x86.
