No spell checker in outlook?
I just recently purchase a new laptop and when I open Outlook Express and try to send email and do spell checker its grayed out and wont do any thing. Any idea on whats happening?

OE uses the spell check program from MS Word....

OE does not come with its own spell checker. You can use the above option or your can solve the problem with XP if you have another MS program that has a spell checker, such as Word or MS Works. See The Elder Geek.

If you have the Office cd you can reinstall it provided you no longer use it on the old pc...
I've never used the app in the link i posted earlier. From that link it states: A free program, made to allow people to use Spell Checker in Outlook Express. This is a stand alone application, that incorporates in Outlook Express. The purpose of this program, is to supply for free the ability to use Spelling in OE, without the need to purchase other software, such as MS Word,Works, or Office. |

Nope. Large programs like office copy files to many different folders and make tons of entries in the registry.
