Micro$oft office pro upgrade?

Question,the owner of a pc im working on has micro$oft office 2003 student teacher copy
she went out and bought office 2003 pro, update and wants to install it, now the question is
before i open the box, is it ok to put this version of M$ office over the other version?

I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. Assuming that she legally installed the academic version, you don't necessarily have to install any overlapping components. Actually, it might detect the existing components and automatically deselect them from the installation queue.
