I need help on a QuickBooks Error

I have a client that uses QuickBooks Pro 2005. The program has been
working fine since installation last year no problems. Today she's
entering some checks, finishes, closes the program. She goes to Excel
and works in that for a while, then closes it. Then goes back to
QuickBooks and clicks on her desktop short cut . The programs
starts opening, goes to the password screen for the companyfile.
She enters her password, then a window comes up "QuickBooks has
an unrecoverable error #2112062847 and will have to now close".
I had her look at the shortcut to see if the compatibility box was
checked in the properties, but it was not. I searched the QuickBooks
knowledge base for about half an hour, coudn't find that error code.
I called QuickBooks as a last resort and they too could not find the
error code which then want me to purchase tech support. The client
has gone home for the day and I can't really do anything until Monday.
I thought of maybe restoring the back up from the previous day.
Worst case, uninstalling and reinstalling the software then restoring
from the backup. Has anyone encountered this type of problem before?

Are you sure that the error code is correct? It seems like it's wrong . . a software having a documented error code number that high..Also check out: http://www.quickbooksgroup.com/.ef2066e/ and see if you can have your issue resolved. Doing a search for an error code that high doesnt give anything .. however, omitting the error code# gives more usable search results.

It seems rather strange that a Quickbooks error code would not be known by Quickbooks and also ask you for money for tech support.

Has this machine been scanned for malware?
