daemon tools problem

trying to install a disk emulator on windowsx64, but they are causing my system to crash as soon as i load windows. alcohol 120, daemon tools, and power iso all don't work.
its a fresh install, all my drivers are upto date and all the windows updates too.
i used to have daemon tools and it worked on x64 before on this system. i never could get power iso to work on 64 before.
do you think its because i installed a newer version of daemon tools(64bit version) and alcohol120, or because of a recent windows update?
i have tried googling this problem but without much help.

You've out paced the beta releases.
Sorry guy, but you're just going to have to wait.

OK, there are other issues but you get the basic point : Nothing to do but wait.
