Winmail.dat
Recently, My outlook is behaving quite strangely. The attachment or file that I sent to my clients is in PDF format. But when the he receives it, it is in winmail.dat instead. So, he can't open the attachment. But this only happens in yahoo & hotmail account. But when I tested sending the attachment using my other email account, I was able to receive the attachment in PDF format and I could open it.
I had reconfigure the settings under option>HTML format and even update the Outlook 2000 to Service Pack 3 but to no avail. Please help. Thanks in advance... |

The simplest solution is to send mails in plain text instead of rich text. and making sure that your recipients are configured to receive mails in plain text only.

Hi Statica,
Thanks for the reply...But how do I configure that in Yahoo email settings? My client doesn't seem to know how to do it. I can't help him because I do not use Yahoo mail. Thanks. |

Those are settings at your end .. not for your client's Yahoo mail.
