Nero 7 Ultra
Does anyone have experience with this product? I just bought the retail version yesterday and after trying to get "updates" via the nero update manager I had no luck. All I got was an error message. Is Nero a good product or do they do a better job with glitzy retail boxes?

I had problems with mine when I first installed it. I contacted Nero and they told me to download the updated version from their site and just use the product key that came with the retail version. Did that and haven't had a problem since. Here's the link I used.

I like Nero. I had some problems with the original 7.0. But it now seems to work like a charm. I use Nero Vision 4 a lot. It's able to convert to DVD movies unable to be convertered by other programs, such as DVD Santa or WinAvi Converter.

The boxed version is 7.0.0.0 - loaded with bugs. You *should* be able to download the updates as PR indicated and install them over the top and it *should* update cleanly.

^^After a couple of updates, Nero worked just fine. But that original 7.0 was bunk!
